Terms of Service

Effective 14 September 2026 · Quad99 Technologies

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Quad99 Research (the "Service"), provided by Quad99 Technologies ("we", "us"). By creating an account, accepting an invitation to a workspace, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and, where you act for an organisation, that organisation ("you"). If you have signed an order form or enterprise agreement with us, that agreement takes precedence where it differs from these Terms.

2. The service

Quad99 Research is a research service for pharmaceutical market-access, pricing and regulatory questions. It provides answers drawn from a curated reference corpus — including medicine prices across markets, regulatory and health technology assessment documents, public procurement outcomes and supply information — together with the sources behind each answer, reports you can export, and related workspace, audit and administration features.

We may improve, add or change features over time. Coverage of markets, products and document types varies and is shown in the Service; we do not promise that any particular market, product or document will be available.

3. Accounts and workspaces

  • You must provide accurate registration details and keep your password and API keys confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Work happens in workspaces. Workspace owners and administrators control membership, roles, API keys and exports, and can read the workspace's audit log.
  • Access to the reference corpus is enabled per workspace and may be limited to specific markets under your plan or pilot.
  • You must be at least 18 and authorised to bind your organisation. The Service is for professional use, not for consumers.

4. Research data and licensing

The reference corpus is compiled by us from publicly available information published by regulators, health technology assessment bodies, public procurement authorities and national price lists, and from data we license. We organise, normalise, translate, link and quality-check it, and we attribute each answer to its source.

Subject to these Terms and your plan, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right during your subscription to:

  • use the Service and its answers for your internal research, analysis and decision-making; and
  • include reasonable excerpts of answers, figures and citations in your internal and client-facing work product, with attribution to Quad99 Research where practical.

You may not, without our written agreement:

  • resell, sublicense, publish or redistribute the corpus or substantial parts of it, or offer it as a data feed;
  • systematically download, copy or export the corpus, or use it to build or train a competing database, dataset or model;
  • remove or obscure source attributions, dates or notices.

Source documents remain subject to the terms of their original publishers. Links and document viewers in the Service are provided so you can verify an answer at its source.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • access the Service by automated means other than our documented API, or exceed rate limits or usage allowances;
  • probe, test or circumvent security, access controls, tenant isolation or market licensing;
  • share accounts or credentials, or give access to people outside your organisation except as permitted;
  • upload or submit unlawful material, personal health information about identifiable patients, or content you have no right to use;
  • use the Service in breach of competition, sanctions, export-control or anti-bribery laws.

6. AI-generated answers

Answers are generated with the help of large language models from the reference corpus. We design the Service to ground every figure in a source row and every claim in a source passage, and to say when information is not held. Even so, answers can be incomplete, out of date or wrong.

  • Each answer shows its sources, collection dates and, for documents, the cited passage. Check them before relying on an answer.
  • The Service does not provide medical, legal, regulatory or investment advice, and is not a substitute for professional judgement or for official publications.
  • You are responsible for decisions you make and for validating information before regulatory submissions, pricing decisions or publication.

7. Your content

"Your Content" means the questions, notes, feedback and any files you submit, and the conversations and reports created in your workspace. You keep all rights in Your Content. You grant us the rights needed to host, process and display it to provide, secure and support the Service. We do not sell Your Content, and we do not use it to train general-purpose AI models. We may use aggregated, de-identified usage information and feedback ratings to measure and improve answer quality.

8. Plans, pilots and fees

  • Fees, seats, markets and term are set out in your order form or pilot agreement. Unless stated otherwise, fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable.
  • A pilot runs for the period agreed and ends automatically unless converted to a paid plan.
  • Where billing runs through our payment provider, its terms also apply. Fees exclude taxes, which you are responsible for.
  • We may suspend access for undisputed amounts more than 30 days overdue, after notice.

9. Confidentiality and security

Each party will protect the other's confidential information with reasonable care and use it only for the purposes of these Terms. We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the Service, including workspace isolation enforced in the database, restricted read-only access for model-generated queries, encrypted transport and an audit trail of research queries. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.

10. Intellectual property

We and our licensors own the Service, its software, the structure, selection and enrichment of the reference corpus, and all related intellectual property. Except for the rights expressly granted in these Terms, no rights are transferred to you. If you send us suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.

11. Disclaimers

The Service and the reference corpus are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any source will remain available.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid us for the Service in that period. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, to your payment obligations, or to breach of the data-licensing restrictions in section 4.

13. Suspension and termination

  • You may stop using the Service at any time; paid plans end at the end of their term unless your order says otherwise.
  • We may suspend or terminate access that breaches these Terms, creates a security risk, or is required by law, and we will give notice where reasonable.
  • On termination your right to use the Service and the corpus ends. You may export Your Content for 30 days after termination, after which we may delete it in line with our Privacy Policy.
  • Sections 4 (restrictions), 7, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 15 survive termination.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with its effective date and, for material changes, notify workspace owners by email or in the Service at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

15. General

  • These Terms, together with any order form, are the entire agreement between us about the Service.
  • You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them to an affiliate or successor.
  • If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Failure to enforce a right is not a waiver.
  • Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Quad99 Technologies is registered, whose courts have exclusive jurisdiction, unless your order form states otherwise.
